Error Code

Bosch Cooktop Error Codes

Bosch induction, electric and gas cooktops use different displays and controls. Match every code or symbol to the E-Nr and operating instructions. Bosch advises that electrical and gas repairs should be performed by a competent technician.

Common codes, messages and symptoms to record

Safe first response

Remove cookware and allow the cooktop to cool. Clean and dry only the user-accessible control surface. Stop if the glass is cracked, there is a gas smell, sparking, burning smell or repeated power tripping.

What to record before requesting help

  1. Photograph the complete display.
  2. Record the E-Nr and FD number from the rating plate without moving a heavy or built-in appliance.
  3. Note when the fault appears and whether it returns after the appliance is switched off normally.
  4. Stop using the appliance if there is water leakage, smoke, burning smell, gas smell, unsafe heat or repeated electrical tripping.
