Bosch dishwasher codes and symbols vary by model generation. Record the entire display, including punctuation, and the E-Nr before using a code explanation. Bosch Australia’s dishwasher support and Service Assistant provide the correct model-specific information.
Common codes, messages and symptoms to record
- Water-inlet display or tap symbol
- Drainage display
- Water-protection warning
- Heating or temperature warning
- Door or latch warning
- Programme interrupted
- Salt indicator
- Rinse-aid indicator
Do not diagnose a part from the code alone
A display describes a condition detected by the dishwasher; it does not by itself confirm which component should be replaced. Stop using the appliance if there is leaking water or repeated electrical tripping.
What to record before requesting help
- Photograph the complete display.
- Record the E-Nr and FD number from the rating plate without moving a heavy or built-in appliance.
- Note when the fault appears and whether it returns after the appliance is switched off normally.
- Stop using the appliance if there is water leakage, smoke, burning smell, gas smell, unsafe heat or repeated electrical tripping.
